El martes 8 de septiembre el Programa ATLANTES de la Universidad de Navarra recibe la visita de Katherine Pettus (Advocacy Officer. International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care, IAHPC). Además de reunirse con los investigadores del equipo, dictará una sesión el martes, 8 de septiembre, a las 11.30 h, en el aula M1 del Edificio Amigos de la Universidad de Navarra. La asistencia es libre.

Su seminario lleva por título:  “Palliative Care: the Passion and the Politics”. Durante su intervención abordará lo siguiente:
· ¿Quiénes somos?  ¿Qué estamos intentando de hacer?  Who are we as a global movement, and what are we trying to accomplish?
· ¿Por qué nos importa?  Why do we care so much about death, dying, suffering, etc.?
· What are the political stakes of succeeding in integrating PC?
· Discuss palliative care vs euthanasia as rational policy options
· What is the secular defense of palliative care?
· What are the arguments against euthanasia in a post-Christian world?
